The images on this page show Buckland Paper Mill located on Crabble Hill in the town. They show the mill
in it's present derelict state prior to redevelopment although Flour and Paper making have flourished on the River Dour for
hundreds of years until Buckland Paper Mill, the last Paper mill on the Dour owned by Arjo Wiggin's closed down. Just down
the road is the Buckland Flour Mill on Lorne Road now being developed into a range of residential and business uses. Crabble
Corn Mill in River is now a working museum telling the history of the Mill's on the dour and is well worth a visit.
